The passion that Lynda McNutt Foster displays for small business owners came early when growing up in Miami, FL, through her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, all of whom owned businesses. Lynda started her first company at 21 years old in Roanoke, VA, with her first husband Dan, Best Pest Control, Inc., and sold it 10 years later to Terminix International. Next was a successful full service advertising agency that her current husband, Allen Foster, now owns and operates. Lynda stepped back for 8 years and worked for media companies, ABC-13 and Wheeler Broadcasting in Roanoke, VA, to obtain a perspective on advertising and marketing that would result in a true 360 view that few marketing and advertising specialists obtain by the age of 44.
Lynda was honored by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce with the prestigious Small Business Advocate of the Year award in 2009. This would be the fire that ignited a drive to inspire more small business owners to realize their dream and in just one year, Synergy Sessions, the education program that Lynda founded, doubled in size and has collaborated with the Roanoke, Montgomery and Lynchburg Chambers of Commerce along with the Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Radford Small Business Development Centers.
Lynda isn’t one of those 4 hour work week kind of gals. She loves who she serves and has the energy, drive, and determination to take her message to small business owners throughout Virginia and beyond.
